I’m looking for 20 women who are perimenopausal or postmenopausal.

Is that you?

Perimenopause can last up to 15 years. Once you’ve gone 12 months without a period, you can officially say you’re menopausal.

Maybe you’re not feeling like yourself.
You’ve been to the doctor and were told, “It’s just a normal part of aging.”

But here’s the truth: most doctors receive very limited training in menopause care, and for years many were taught that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is dangerous.

New research has emerged. We’re looking at the data differently now, and we also know there was a major misinterpretation of research in the early 2000s that created a lot of unnecessary fear.

There is a lot of misinformation out there! Everyone seems to have a quick fix! HRT or hormone therapy, collagen, creatine, ashwagandha…. And the list can go on and on! But how do you know what’s right for you?

I am giving a 1 hour masterclass to educate women about what the hell is going on with their bodies/hormones and what to expect in the future. I’m going to talk about treatment options-the risks and benefits, giving research and numbers to back up each. My top 3 diet and lifestyle recommendations that anyone can start right away will finish the presentation. There will be time for questions. Here is something I’ve been busy with! The last couple of years I renovated our trailer.

Anyone who knew my dad, might know he was a professional house painter. I wish he would have been here to see how much I learned about painting and small renovations from him! I love watching the transformation! I’ve posted some of the original pictures from when I started… it’s a little messy… but then again, renovations are messy lol!

It was a labour of love. We are only selling it because it’s too small for our growing family… Deven grew almost 6 inches since last year!

There is a lot of misinformation out there! Everyone seems to have a quick fix! HRT or hormone therapy, collagen, creatine, ashwagandha…. And the list can go on and on! But how do you know what’s right for you?

Yes!! 🙌 That’s right! There is no magic pill but there is a magic bullet!

A study published in 2020 in the Journal of Sport Health Science reported that:

🏃‍♀️ Low levels of physical activity are a risk factor for AD.

🏋️‍♂️Older adults who exercise are more likely to maintain cognition.

More studies are needed but there is an inverse relationship between how much a person exercises and their risk.

What does that mean? The more you exercise, the lower your risk of AD.

Of course, I’m sure there’s a limit, but most people I see are not exercising enough.

Based on guidelines, 150 minutes a week should be the minimum that you are trying to get or about 20 mins a day- this is not for optimal health but a great start!

Everyone is willing to take a pill to reduce their risk of Alzheimer’s but are you willing to add exercise to reduce your risk?

Maybe you have neglected a friendship or even friendships and it’s time for you to start planning or reaching out.

It could also be as simple as it’s not about you, so don’t make it about you…definitely important if you have teenagers… or maybe that’s just my experience lol?

Or don’t make assumptions, maybe you need to ask a question and open up communication.

You get to decide how you react and what you do about it!!

We had an epidemic of loneliness before the pandemic, but now it’s so much more!

A survey in 2018, showed that half of Americans felt alone, isolated or left out at least half of the time. Being lonely has the same impact on mortality as smoking 15 ci******es a day, making it more dangerous than obesity.

Although we are more interconnected through social media and other electronic ways, we are more isolated and feel more isolated than ever.

The more we feel a part of something, connected to others, less isolated, the less likely we are to die by su***de.

The unfortunate part is that it’s a double edged sword. You are lonely but that loneliness can make it harder to reach out to others because you feel so alone and might even feel that no one else would understand.

This year we are starting a book club. One that will create connection and because it’s for personal growth, the content will be uplifting and feel good. You will meet likeminded people that want to better themselves and will want the best for you too!
