I was out for an early morning walk and paid attention to the way I was walking. I remembered that it's important to lead with the hips. My Pilates training showed me the difference.

Why you might ask. In doing so your upper body is upright, your core is engaged and your legs float effortly under you making walking more enjoyable and a full body workout. When you lead with your head and shoulders your back and shoulders tend to be more rounded and your legs have to catchup. When you lead with your feet your head tends to lean forward putting a strain on your back and neck.

Notice the next time your out for a walk what takes the lead. Then, give the hips the lead and see what you think. Did you feel a difference?

We really need to educate ourselves on what we bring into our homes and the impact it may have on those in the home including our pets and young children that walk, crawl and eat off the floor. Just saying. You know that 5 second rule!

You'll be surprised once you read the labels and research the ingredients and their side effects.

Keep it super simple. Experiment with using vinegar, water, borax and baking soda to clean for a couple of weeks. You could always add a couple of drops of pure lemon oil or clove oil ,which are powerful in addressing bacteria that lurks in our homes. See how you feel after cleaning. You'll notice a difference.

Who would like to feel like cleaning? Well at least you might not be tired. 😆

This is so true. You've got to use them to reap the full benefits. I use them for my daily typical needs. Body, mind and home environment. You can too.

I use peppermint to relieve headaches and sore muscles. Lemon to removes sticky substances and uplift my spirits. What do you use?

Being active together can create a sense of belonging and builds trust. The older the children got the more important I found it was to find ways to stay connected.

Do you play outside with your children? What are some of things you do for fun?

We look for opportunities to play together including basketball, tennis, swimming, riding bikes and touch football. I try to provide a loving environment where we can play. I think that's good on so many levels - emotionally, for family interactions and, of course, physically.
