3 years ago we adopted our pupper girls from Taiwan and they arrived with this tag. So I made it into a necklace for my daughter for Xmas to honour that wonderful day our Vino and Vina came to fill our hearts!! 🐕 🐕 ♥️

I met my friend ironically at an Indigenous people’s day event and I have seen her grow and flourish into the leader she is today! She is my friend, my colleague and now my boss!! Lol 😂. She was given her spirit name in ceremony a couple weeks ago and this medallion is how I envision her - Ishkodekwe - Heart of the Fire Woman. This is who she is as a leader - She keeps the fire going and leads with her heart. She is the heart of our fire. And this is who she is in her family - She keeps the home fire burning with her deep love and caring. I am proud of my friend and she truly is Ishkodekwe. She is the heart ❤️ of the fire 🔥

So I work with the most amazing team of peeps - I truly love them! When I went off for my surgery they literally showered me with presents to help my healing and so much love!! I wanted them to know how much they mean to me and made them each a little beaded something! Here they are! (You will notice the Sabe/Sasquatch theme - some of us are a bit Sabe obsessed lol 😂)

And that‘a a wrap!! Our first year of Maawnjising wiingkushkeng culture camp is done today!! What an experience for Indigenous Peel students to come and connect with culture and teachings!! Amazing 2 weeks of learning and making connections for both students and staff!! Lots of learning, laughter, fun and many new friendships!! Miigwech to everyone who was involved!!!

What is reiki good
for?
Reiki is helpful for almost any mind, body or spiritual concern. Reiki can work as a complimentary treatment in cases of physical ailments and disease. It is also very helpful for emotional upset, depression, or when a person is feeling unbalanced. Reiki helps to "rebalance" us and put our energy system back in alignment.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and healing. It uses the universal life force to promote an all-over feeling of well-being, and wholeness. A reiki treatment leaves one feeling relaxed, peaceful and balanced. The word Reiki means: rei - universal and ki - energy. And so during a reiki treatment, the universal energy or life-force flows through one’s being, promoting wellness.


The Chakra system:

There are seven major chakras aligned along the spinal column. Each organ, gland or body system is connected to a chakra. Sometimes, one or more chakras become unbalanced, causing health and/or emotional disturbances in the body. A reiki treatment also works on the chakra system and helps to balance any disturbances. Sometimes a reiki practitioner will use various healing stones or gems which are associated with the different chakras to help restore balance to the chakra system and the body system as a whole.
