“Deep Tissue” is such an ambiguous term- what feels deep and relaxing to some can be painful to others. I’m hoping this course can help me make the most of massage at every level of tissue depth, without creating that painful “guarding response”.

My home practice on Gambier Island is currently closed. I will be changing my practice model to a mobile/in patient’s home model in the upcoming weeks.

“In her news briefing today, British Columbia’s Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, ordered that all personal services businesses involving close physical contact, such as “massage parlors”, must close effective immediately.”
She later clarified that these personal services included the heathcare profession of registered massage therapy. Foundation for Integrated Health has been closed for the past week, and will remain closed until further notice from our Health Officer in effort to ‘flatten the curve.’
