Important Drug Recall Notice:

There is currently a drug recall for Vagifem 10 tablets (Estradiol 10MCG). The affected lot numbers to look for are:

RE78561
RE78566
RE78594
RE78796

We'll be contacting patients who've recently received one of these prescriptions to confirm whether you received one of these lot and to provide instructions for a replacement prescription.

DELIVERY FEE AND SCHEDULE CHANGE

Starting immediately, we will no longer be delivering on THURSDAYS. If you have been receiving regular weekly, bi-weekly or monthly deliveries on a Thursday; we will contact you to make arrangements for an alternative day.

Gibsons Area: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays

Sechelt/Roberts Creek: Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.

For the last 25 years, Howe Sound Pharmacy has provided prescription delivery free of charge. In order to continue with this service, we will be implementing a delivery fee effective August 1st, 2025. We understand that all of us have been effected by the ever rising costs of living, which is why we have tried our best to keep these new fees minimal.

We require 24hrs notice for delivery. This allows us the time to ensure your medication is available (either in stock or with enough time to order it in) and for the pharmacists and support staff to process your order.

We appreciate that the unexpected can happen and we will always try our best to accommodate a short notice request.

24hr request: $5.00 Delivery Fee
Short Notice request: $7.50 Delivery Fee

Over the next couple of months, we will be contacting those patients who are currently receiving regularly scheduled deliveries (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly) that may be affected by the delivery fees.

The busy summer season is upon us.

Between last minute travel prescription replacements and emergencies we're already seeing a surge in refill requests. we'd like your help to keep things rolling smoothly since we simply can't fill all the prescriptions that get faxed in.

If you've had a doctor's appointment recently and need a prescription filled, we will not automatically fill prescriptions without speaking to you first. Please call ahead or use our online refill form to book a pick-up time.

Not only will this ensure your pills are ready when you want them, it gives us the time to help patients dealing with life's little emergencies.

While the position is mostly to help cover holidays in the summer months, this position could lead the right individual to lead our deliveries and assist patients in the pharmacy.

Heads up everyone. The parking lot and crosswalks in front of the Pharmacy will be resurfaced, meaning that you will not be able to park directly in front of the pharmacy.

Sidewalk access will either be from Fields to our left or further to the right of the medical clinic, as per the image provided by the Gibsons Park Plaza. Work crews will be on site to point out the safest way to cross the work zone.

This mild disruption should be limited to Tuesday, May 13, and Wednesday, May 14, weather permitting.
