Radicle Root Herbs - connecting people with plants for a healthier existence for all 🌿🌼 Radicle Root Herbs is the actualizing dream of herbalist Munna Cleland.

In botany, the radicle is the first part of a seedling to emerge from the seed during the process of germination. They are the origin for the entire root system of the plant for its entire life.The primary root grows from the radicle and the herb then grows as the roots spread. The word radical, literally meaning 'of roots', strongly resonates with Munna's mission to educate and support people through their holistic healing journey. Herbalism is often considered a radical approach to healing, but it is also a tradition with very ancient and deep roots. Munna believes that herbs are a gift to all living creatures. They nourish, heal, and protect us. It is a valuable skill to know your local plants well enough to use them safely and respectfully. All herbs need to be treated with the respect they deserve. Many herbs require an in depth understanding to use them safely and many ailments/conditions should be treated by those qualified. One of the main goals of Radicle Root Herbs is to empower people to learn about herbs and to take their health into their own hands. We promote self healing and wellness maintenance, but also recognize the important role that qualified, experienced herbalists play in our communities. The sweet smell of walking through dew-covered Pineappleweed in the morning.... mmm! It is a simple but deeply potent source of joy. 🌿🍍

I adore Pineappleweed, aka Matricaria discoidea. It is a sister plant to Chamomile, aka Matricaria recutita. Pineappleweed grows wild here and is quite abundant. It is very similar to Chamomile in therapeutic properties.

Our season is winding down, but Calendula and Kale are still going strong. It brings me joy to have late season flowers and food, especially ones that you don't have to protect from the early frosts. 😍

Crying in my kitchen 😭

I harvested my first Horseradish roots of the year this week. I grated them up and added them to the batch of fire cider that I just started. If y'all think chopping onions makes you cry, you should try chopping or grating Horseradish. 😂

I love that the medicine of it gets to work immediately, just by breathing it in. Your sinuses open right up, any congestion starts to clear, and your eyes water like mad! It's good stuff!!! 💚

If anyone needs fresh Horseradish, let me know. I have so much growing here. 🌿

It was a wonderful (but very hot!) weekend, filled with so much love, creativity, dancing, nature, music, and of course bass!!! 🔊💚

I am so thrilled that the Wild Roses are starting to spread on my homestead and are flowering now! 😍 They are such great medicine for the body, mind, and spirit! Just seeing them makes my heart soar with delight! 🌹

The Black Elder are flowering now!! They are abundant and beautiful this year! 💜

Elderflowers are a staple in my home and my business! They can be found in several of my tea blends, my Elderberry Syrup and DIY kits, and I make sure to have a decent supply of Elderflower Elixir each year also.

Elderflowers are both edible and medicinal. They are a common addition to cocktails/mocktails. They are a great ally during cold/flu season, especially for feverish kiddos! I love them for many reasons.
