Hannah Carr, Talent Acquisition Specialist at Huron Health System, recently attended the UWO Schulich Department of Family Medicine Resident Retreat in Collingwood, where she had the opportunity to connect with residents as they consider their next steps in practising medicine.

The retreat provided an opportunity to learn more about what residents value in their training, the practice settings they hope to pursue, and the personal priorities that influence where they choose to live and work. These conversations help us better support new physicians as they transition into practice by showcasing the opportunities, connections, and quality of life our community offers.

We were proud to attend the Goderich Mayor’s Luncheon today.

This year’s event focused on compassion, resilience, mental health awareness, and community support. The moderated panel discussion led by Mayor Trevor Bazinet highlighted the importance of leadership, collaboration, and inclusion in building a healthier, more connected community for everyone.

As a hospital, we are grateful to be part of these important conversations and to work alongside community partners who are committed to supporting the well-being of our region.

Huron Outreach Eating Disorders Program (HOEDP).

An outreach satellite partner of the London Health Sciences Centre Eating Disorders Program, HOEDP provides specialized eating disorder support for adolescents and adults, close to home.

Residents of Huron County can access care locally, without needing to travel outside the county for specialized services.

We offer support for:
• Adolescents aged 12–17 (with parent/guardian involvement)
• Adults aged 18 years and over
