Hello comrades! I am fibre artist and I created this piece using a variety of re-purposed fabrics and a small piece of my keffiyeh that has seen many protests. The art work is finished in a 14 inch embroidery hoop that has been wrapped in lace and backed in stretch velvet.

The woman whose image I recreated with embroidery floss, was a Palestinian hostage that was released from prison in January 2025. I unfortunately do not know her name, but when I heard her speak her strength and steadfastness really stuck with me.
I included 3 quotes from her interview.

“Our joy is incomplete without the women whom we left behind in prison”

“Mercy to our martyrs and healing to our wounded”

“And to the resistance- God be with them and grant them victory”

I am asking for a donation of $200 in exchange for my art. I will be sending 100% of the donation to my dear friend Ahmad in Gaza who is currently trying to get a tent as his belongings were destroyed in a recent bombing in Deir-Al-Balah. He is like a son to me, I love him dearly and appreciate your support.

!!URGENT!!

Yesterday the Zionists bombed Deir-Al-Balah and Ahmad’s tent and all of his family’s belongings were destroyed. Leaflets were once again dropped telling them to evacuate; there will be a full ground invasion in Deir-Al-Balah.

I spoke to Ahmad in the evening (middle of the night for him) while he was under bombardment. He said to me, “Mother I’m sorry if I die tonight”. 💔

They are so scared and I am so far away. I have given him my promise that I will continue to help his family that survives if he is martyred. I have cried so many tears for this boy, and he is like a son to me. I am experiencing pain that I didn’t know existed, and I will stand by his and all Palestinians’ side until my last breath.

Ahmad, and his Mom and Dad and sisters and Granny are all alive and taking shelter indoors, and they have a place to stay for one night only, and they need to evacuate and move again. They are extremely vulnerable without shelter, they need a tent asap.

The most helpful thing we can do is to offer them support by sending money so they can eat, and get transportation and a new tent. If you can help any amount, please send to marjareimer@gmail.com. I am sorry to keep asking, it is hard to do…

Can you please share this! we need to raise at least $1,600 USD, that’s over $2000 and we need it asap!

The funds raised will be used to get a tent and a car or donkey and cart rental as they are being forcibly evacuated, and hopefully a small amount of food.

Emergency donation collection!!!
Ahmad and his little sisters, Granny and his Mom and Dad are still short $150USD and need to get out right away. They’ve been ordered to evacuate but they don’t want to leave behind the $1000 tent and their belongings, and granny cannot walk. They need us!!!
Please help with any amount if you can to help get transportation for evacuation.

In May of 2024, Susan Bibbings joined in a peaceful protest of the genocide being committed against the Palestinian people, with UBC complicity. Walking silently as in a funeral walk, she was carrying a shrouded effigy of a dead baby in her arms and paused for a number of seconds on a crowded road to have her picture taken by media when police pounced, snatched the effigy from her arms, threw it on the pavement and forcibly pushed Susan to the ground. She was handcuffed and arrested on an allegation of criminal mischief.

Susan has pled not guilty and intends to take this to trial. She will argue that police breached her Charter rights by failing to allow her a reasonable opportunity to protest peacefully and interact with media. The trial is estimated to last from three to five days.The crown is seeking one month in jail.

A lifelong advocate for justice, Susan has dedicated her life in service to help the oppressed and vulnerable, and protecting the planet, working full-time as an unpaid activist. She now calls on friends and supporters to help amplify her voice in the face of this legal challenge. Contributions to her Chuffed page are gratefully and humbly received and will make her legal victory possible, with the goal of creating strong case precedence to aid others unjustly arrested by police in violation of Charter Rights.
