MEET THE STAFF MONDAY 👋

Say hello to Marlena Parmiter! Marlena joined our team as a pharmacy assistant in November 2025. Her strong work ethic and willingness to learn makes her an invaluable member of our team!

Marlena first joined us as a relief assistant, covering shifts for team members needing time off, while also volunteering at one of our travel vaccine clinics in her hometown. It didn't take long to realize she was a perfect fit - her reliability and positive attitude made such an impression that we knew we wanted her as a regular part of our team.

When asked what her favourite part of working at Grand Falls Drug Store is, Marlena says, "The positive, family like atmosphere. Starting a new job can make you nervous, but the support and kindness from staff have helped ease my nerves and make me feel like part of the "family" already!"

When Marlena isn't busy working she enjoys spending time with her family, taking her sweet puppy Timber for walks in the woods, and curling up with a good book. 📚

We are so lucky to have Marlena on our team!

From now until June 12th, every donation made through the Boots on the Ground Campaign helps provide free, quality end-of-life care and community grief supports for individuals and families across our region.

Drop by the pharmacy and help support the Hike for Hospice, where your donation = your boot print! 🥾

MEET THE STAFF MONDAY 👋

Say hello to Carolann Cole! Carolann joined our team as a sales clerk in September 2025. Carolann is a true people person with an easygoing nature who gets along effortlessly with everyone. Her warm personality makes her a wonderful addition to our team.

Carolann may be new to the pharmacy, but she's certainly not new to the owner. Vanessa grew up spending countless days and nights at her home as one of her daughters close friends. So when Danielle mentioned her mom was looking for a job, it felt like perfect timing - and fate brought her to our team.

When asked what her favourite part of working at Grand Falls Drug Store is, Carolann says, "Getting to work with a great group of girls on the front cash, and getting to meet and get to know the customers."

When Carolann isn't busy working she enjoys cooking (delicious pastry), knitting, shopping, and most importantly spending time with her 4 precious grandchildren. ❤️

MEET THE STAFF MONDAY 👋

Say hello to Francine Gillingham! Francine joined our team in August 2011. Francine primarily works as one of our pharmacy technicians, but is also our dedicated pharmacy manager thanks to her exceptional leadership and organization skills.

Francine embodies the definitions of hard work and dedication. She is a go-getter who is keen on continuously advancing the pharmacy services we provide to our patients.

When asked what her favourite part of working at Grand Falls Drug Store is, Francine says, "I like how everyday we get to problem solve pharmacy issues, and collaborate with healthcare professionals and each other." She also enjoys reminiscing about the pharmacy's 100 year celebration when everyone had to dress up.

When Francine isn't busy working she spends her time raising and caring for two pretty awesome children and her sweet little 5-year old shih-poo, Rico! 🐶

We are so lucky to have Francine on our team!

MEET OUR STUDENT SATURDAY 👋

Say hello to Eva Griffin! Eva recently finished her second year of pharmacy school at Memorial University and is now completing a work term with us here at Grand Falls Drug Store. As a local from Grand Falls - Windsor, we're so happy to have her learning and growing with our team!

Eva has quickly become a wonderful addition to the pharmacy. She is very personable, friendly, attentive, and catches on with ease. She has a way of making people feel comfortable - like you've known her forever!

When asked what her favourite part of being here so far is, Eva says, "Seeing the relationship the pharmacy staff has with patients. It's nice to see how comfortable everyone is with each other and I hope in my career I can build those relationships too."

When Eva isn't busy at the pharmacy, she enjoys going to the movies and swimming! 🏊‍♀️🎬

We know Eva is going to make a fantastic pharmacist one day and we're excited to be a small part of her journey.
