Our Story

Founded in 1989 by Barbara Fairbairn and Kathy Chambers, Grand Valley Drug Store has been providing health care products and services in the village of Grand Valley for over 30 years.

After 10 years as 33 Main Street South it was clear that the business needed to expand in order to meet the needs and expectations of a growing community. In 1999 we moved down the street to our current location, 23 Main Street South.

The role of 'pharmacy' has evolved over the years from focusing on the accurate dispensing of prescriptions to a more comprehensive health care approach. Our expanded programs and services include medication reviews, vaccine injection services, vitamin and natural product counselling, blood pressure monitoring, non-prescription medicine counselling and smoking-cessation programs.

To meet the needs of our local community we also offer a variety of additional product categories - cosmetics, stationary, greeting cards, snacks, giftware, baby care, health & beauty, and an extensive selection of home health care items.
