SAFETY REMINDER: Watch for Standing Water!

​With the heavy snow this year and melting started, water is pooling quickly, especially near bridges and low-lying areas.

👉🏻Slow down when approaching bridges.
👉🏻​Be alert for deep patches of water that can cause hydroplaning.
👉🏻​Give yourself extra space between vehicles.

The RCMP is investigating a fatal crash on Highway 43 near Range Road 55 early this morning. It's reported that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, which was likely a semi truck, around 3:15 a.m.

Anyone who was in the area around that time who saw the pedestrian or who may have dashcam footage is asked to contact the RCMP. Mounties are also looking to connect with the driver of a semi-truck hauling a van trailer who stopped at the scene before officers arrived.

Had a friend ask me about these I had never seen them. There are lots of choices out there for tourniquets my advice is do some research and train with what you choose. Make sure you are buying from a reputable source and never order online cheap imitations.
