✨ Cosmetic Needling vs. Medical Needling: What’s the Difference? ✨

Many people believe that only medical microneedling can bring real results — but that’s not true. Both cosmetic and medical needling play an important role in skin health and regeneration. The difference lies in the depth of the needles and the type of stimulation they provide.

🔹 Cosmetic Needling (0.2 – 0.3 mm)
This technique micro-injures the epidermis and stimulates keratinocytes. These cells release growth factors that promote cell renewal and increase the production of important signaling molecules.
👉 The result? Improved skin nutrition, better absorption of active ingredients (like serums), and optimized cell function. Cosmetic rollers can be safely used at home with proper guidance.

🔹 Medical Needling (0.5 – 3.0 mm)
Deeper pe*******on triggers the wound healing cascade, stimulating keratinocytes and fibroblasts. This leads to an upregulation of TGF-β3, increased collagen and elastin production, and improved dermal structure.
👉 This level of needling should only be performed by trained professionals such as cosmetic nurses, aestheticians, or doctors.
