✨ What a night at Jackpot Bar & Grill! ✨

We were lucky enough to attend the Barn Builder Fundraiser, and it was such an incredible evening filled with great music and even better community spirit.

Our very own Tracy Zuk was the emcee for the evening.

🎶 Huge shout-out to the amazing artists who took the stage:
TJ Ruckus
Torrance Frederick
James Morrison
Justin Menzies

🌾 Events like this are so important. The Farmers Market is more than a place to shop, it’s a hub for local farmers, makers, and community connection. Supporting the barn build means supporting local food, small businesses, and a space that brings people together.

Grateful to everyone who showed up, supported, and made the night such a success 💛

Had a fantastic lunch with Shawn, Curtis, and Soleil from Liberty Energy

Beyond the great conversation, it was a meaningful reminder of how impactful true partnership can be. Liberty Energy is one of our largest supporters.

Shawn, Curtis, and Soleil don’t just support our work financially; they genuinely invest in the vision, the people, and the long-term impact we’re building together. We’re incredibly grateful for Liberty Energy’s trust and continued support, and for leaders who take the time to engage, listen, and collaborate.

Days like this reinforce why strong relationships matter just as much as strong missions. Looking forward to what we’ll continue to build together.

Each bag is carefully put together to provide comfort, encourage engagement, and foster a sense of connection during an incredibly difficult time.

Quiet Reflections Corner 🤍

We offer Quiet Reflections, a cozy space in our office created for slowing down and catching your breath. With comfortable seating, a warm cup of tea or coffee, and a small library of grief books and resources, this space is here to support you—gently and without pressure.

You’re welcome to read in the space or borrow a book and take it with you to wherever you feel most comfortable. Whether you choose to journal, sit in stillness, or share a quiet conversation, you can be alone or with someone who understands. Quiet Reflections is meant to feel safe, grounding, and unhurried—a place to pause, reflect, and simply be.

Palliative care is often misunderstood. Many think it’s only for the elderly or those in their final days, but true palliative care is about improving the quality of life for anyone, at any age, facing a serious life-limiting illness. At Alberta Northwest Palliative Care Society, we believe a palliative diagnosis does not mean hope is lost or that time is short. Palliative care can begin early and continue for months or even years, tailored to each person’s unique needs and wishes.

Our approach centers on comfort, dignity, and meaning, supporting individuals and their families every step of the way. We offer a range of programs that include emotional support, caregiver resources, grief counseling, and practical assistance. Our unique services, such as friendly visitor programs to ease loneliness, penpal connections for ongoing companionship, medical grade sheepskins for physical comfort, and iPads to help clients stay in touch and access information - are designed to provide holistic, compassionate care.

With every service, our goal is to empower individuals and families, ensuring they feel understood, respected, and supported on their journey. Let’s break the misconceptions around palliative care and spread awareness of the benefits of early, comprehensive support because everyone deserves comfort, connection, and dignity, no matter their age or diagnosis.

We would like to sincerely thank Mark Loos, the 12 Days of Christmas winner, for his generosity.

Mark chose to donate his winnings to the Alberta Northwest Palliative Care Society, directly supporting compassionate care for individuals and families in our region. We are truly grateful for his thoughtful decision and the impact it will have in our community. 💙

We have a very special Cars for Christmas Thank You to 12 Days of Christmas winner Mark Loos.

Sometimes winners cry, sometimes they shriek, sometimes they say bad words in excitement. But as a first, this winner said "Let's give it back to one of the organizations."

For those who don't know, Cars for Christmas supports many local groups each year whose programs and organizations rely on your ticket purchases to fund their initiatives. Mark has selected Alberta Northwest Palliative Care Society as the recipient of his winnings.

Thank you to all of our volunteer groups in the 2025 Cars for Christmas Mega Lottery! If you have or know of a worthy program or organization interested in partnering in the 2026 Cars for Christmas contact inquiries@carsforchristmas.com
