Hello Alberta genealogy enthusiasts,
We’re now looking for submissions for the November 2025 issue of Relatively Speaking. If you have a story to tell about your family history, we invite you to send it along.
The theme for November is "Through the Seasons"
What are some traditions associated with seasons in your family’s history? Any livelihood connections to the seasons such as cattle drives, moving encampments, following the trapline?
How about home-related activities like spring planting, canning or preparing for winter?
Has your family carried any seasonal traditions or festivals from your cultural heritage into the present?
What are some resources for learning about your family’s traditions?

The Relatively Speaking journal is an archival source for Alberta’s historical record. Please be as accurate as possible in terms of names, dates and locations.
