Fun Fact: The term "living room" actually came from funeral homes! 👀
In the early 1900s, families used their front parlors-rooms meant for talking with guests (from the French word parler, meaning "to speak") to hold wakes and visitations for loved ones.
As funeral homes began taking over that role, the space was renamed the "living room"- a place to celebrate life & spend time together. 🏠
