I apologize for the delay, I've taken some time off to recharge but for those who didn't know, I thought I'd make sure every knew that I had to make the hard decision to close. I was getting further in debt as time went on and it didn't make sense to keep it going. All of our files will be transferred to Acuity Eyecare in Grande Banks. Please be patient as it will take a little time to get all the files into their system.
It was am amazing 7 years, I made it through 3 store floods, a pandemic and the loss of my best buddy Bentley, my little Pug who still brings a smile to my face when I think of him. I had hoped that our unique offerings and great service would be enough, but it just wasn't meant to be. I do really appreciate all of the support over those 7 years. Say what you want, but Grande Prairie does have some amazing people in it.
Although this is a huge setback and financial loss, I am not one to give up. I have worked almost my whole life since about the age of 10 so I don't go down so easily. I've never been unemployed long enough to even collect EI.
I am incredibly grateful for all the wonderful people I met along the way. There are some clients who were very kind and were wonderful to work with. Many became friends rather than just customers. You know who you are.
The good news is that I have already moved on to a new position not too far away. I am Working for a couple of wonderful Optometrists who operate 4 clinics in Alberta. They were very respectful and cooperative when I was open and I am glad to be part of their team now. I will be overseeing their 3 Opticals within their clinics (One of their clinics doesn't offer eyeglasses).
So I invite my former clients to come visit me at Acuity Eyecare in Grande Banks located in the strip mall across the street from The Eastlink Center right by the medical clinic. I will be there most of the time, but not all of the time so if you want to see me specifically for your eyeglass needs, feel free to call ahead and I will make the time to continue to provide the level of service you have come to expect from me. I will not be providing Vision Tests, I will only be working with eyeglasses. All prescriptions done out of iSee Optical though will be on file with them.
As far as products already purchased from iSee Optical, Acuity Eyecare will be happy to help you out with any adjustments or tune ups. Since iSee Optical no longer has accounts with any of those labs or suppliers, warranties will be another story but again, stop in and we will do our best to help you out but I unfortunately can make no promises.
Thank you again to everyone for their kind words and for 7 years of amazing support. I feel like I let some of you down and for that I am sorry.
