Ken Sargent House The Ken Sargent House is a home away from home for patients receiving treatment in Grande Prairie and their families.

Our facility will offer 21 suites, a kitchen, communal living space, office space, and laundry.

Meet Dale Bond – A Compassionate Leader Committed to Care

Dale Bond knows firsthand how vital supported accommodation is for individuals and families navigating medical treatment. That’s why she took on the role of Director of Ken Sargent House in 2024 — driven by a deep personal connection to the cause.

Since stepping into the role, Dale has been working tirelessly to complete the build of the house, actively fundraising and rallying regional support to bring this much-needed facility to life.

Although the official steering committee for the Ken Sargent House was formed in 2016, the vision for this project began many years earlier. Long before there were drawings, budgets, or construction timelines, there were conversations.

Rotarians in your region recognized a critical need: families travelling to Grande Prairie for medical care had no affordable, supportive place to stay. They carried this concern forward, sparking discussions and planting the seeds for what would eventually grow into the Ken Sargent House.

What began as an idea shared around tables by community-minded individuals has now become a movement, bringing together organizations, donors, and residents across northwestern Alberta.

We are proud to carry forward that original dream and to see it taking shape! The Ken Sargent House is more than a building. It is the realization of years of dedication, collaboration, and a shared belief that no one should face medical journeys alone 💜
