🌟 Thank You, Care Human Services – Platinum Sponsor for 2026! 🐴

We are incredibly thankful to CARE Human Services for once again stepping up as Bob the Therapy Pony’s Platinum Sponsor—for the third year in a row! 💙

Their continued generosity covers Bob’s yearly care and helps ensure he stays happy, healthy, and road-ready to visit long-term care facilities throughout the Peace Region.

Thanks to CARE, Bob can keep doing what he does best—spreading smiles, comfort, and connection to those who need it most.

It means so much to have a dedicated sponsor who believes in the joy and impact Bob brings. Thank you, CARE, for being such a big part of Bob’s journey again in 2026! 🐾

We are so proud of Take A Chance. He and his support team have worked very hard to build his dream!

Yesterday, we marked International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and I was grateful to attend a local showcase highlighting the many organizations in our community who are dedicated to accessibility, inclusion, and empowerment.

The passion and creativity on display were remarkable. From advocacy to opportunities for employment and community connection, each group plays an important role in building a Grande Prairie where everyone belongs.

I also had the chance to purchase this handmade wooden tree from Take a Chance, an entrepreneur living with a disability building their dreams. I encourage everyone to learn more about them and support their efforts:

Thank you to every organization involved for your leadership and commitment to an inclusive community.

Welcome to Stone Brook

There are 76 supportive living suites within six furnished cottages: Poppy Lane, Wilcox, Memory Lane, Mackenzie Cottage, Heritage Way and Lac Cardinal Cottage.

Each cottage contains a complete kitchen, dining room and one or two lounges as well as a spa bath.

The cottages surround an open Courtyard in the middle of the facility, as well as Main Street that has a Bistro Café, Library, Spiritual Place, Spa & Hair Salon and massage chairs.

Stone Brook opened its doors March 2014.
