What a fun way to wrap up our first week of USA adventures!

Yesterday, participants enjoyed a flag-themed scavenger hunt followed by some exciting rounds of bingo in the afternoon. Today, we kicked off the day getting creative with a Statue of Liberty Crown craft, and then cooled off in the afternoon with a delicious American milkshake activity! Everyone had a great time choosing their favourite toppings and making their milkshakes just the way they liked!

After milkshakes, we finished our week with some singing and lots of smiles. We are already looking forward to another week of exciting USA fun.

Next week, our focus will be on American foods & nutrition. We will be learning how to make baked mac and cheese during our American cooking class, practice kitchen safety, and build skills around grocery shopping, healthy eating and more! stay tuned!

We've officially kicked off our 2026 Day Program with an exciting first day exploring the USA! 🇱🇷 We will be spending the entire month of January learning about the USA. Each month, we will be visiting a different country through the Day Program! 🗽🗺️

We began with a group discussion to share what we already know about the USA, then created our very own passports. ✈️ These passports will help us track everything we learn about the USA and other countries as we continue this journey throughout 2026.

This afternoon was filled with fun during our suitcase packing activity! Each team packed a suitcase suited to their destinations climate. Team Alaska tackled the challenge of fitting winter clothes and boots🏂, while Team Hawaii packed the perfect suitcase for warm, tropical weather. 🌴☀️

Throughout January, we will continue discovering more about the USA and sharing our special moments along the way. Stay tuned for more adventures! 🤩
