We were so fortunate to have an incredible group of student volunteers join us over March Break at The Alexander Muskoka Residence 💙

During our pub-style Happy Hour, they were busy serving up delicious ice cream floats, sharing laughs, and helping create a lively afternoon filled with great music and even better company. 🍦🎶

Their energy, kindness, and willingness to jump in made such a meaningful impact on our residents’ experience. Moments like these remind us how special it is when generations come together to create connection, joy, and lasting memories.

Our residents had a shamrockin’ good time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀

The evening was filled with laughter and great company as everyone enjoyed “shaking their shamrocks” along to Jimmy’s Classic Radio Show, who provided wonderful entertainment. We also treated our residents to some festive, specially crafted cocktails to make the night even more memorable.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful volunteers, Liam and Lucas, for their help in preparing for this special event—we couldn’t have done it without you!

It’s moments like these that bring so much joy and connection to our community. 💚

🎭 A little trip through local history!

Last night our residents enjoyed watching a special history presentation from the Gravenhurst Opera House celebrating the 125th anniversary of its very first performance on March 12, 1901.

It was wonderful to learn about the story of this treasured community landmark and the many years it has brought arts, culture, and entertainment to Gravenhurst. Our residents loved reflecting on the history and sharing memories of this special place in our community. ❤️

Learning about the places that shape our town is a meaningful way to stay connected to the community we call home.

Today we recognized World Delirium Awareness Day by coming together to learn more about this important and often misunderstood condition. 💙

Our residents and staff watched an educational presentation supported locally by North Simcoe Muskoka Specialized Geriatric Services (NSM SGS) to help build our knowledge and understanding of delirium and how it affects older adults.

Learning together helps us provide better care, recognize changes earlier, and support the health and well-being of those we serve every day. Thank you to NSM SGS for sharing their expertise and helping raise awareness in our community.

We are proud to share a special collaboration created through our Music is Medicine program with Mike Church. Our residents contributed backtracks alongside members of Wahta Mohawks, coming together through the power of music.

Today, The Alexander Stride Squad took part in Coldest Night of the Year in Gravenhurst and proudly raised $1,100 to support those facing poverty in our community.

A special shoutout to Jenn, Russ, Marlone, and Pam for braving the icy sidewalks and completing the full 5KM route! 👏

Today our Garden Club gathered in the Reflection Room and shared a special blessing of the beautiful mural created by one of our own staff, Tristan.
