As a result of our Christmas Market, the hard work of our residents and the support of our community, we were able raise $879.10 in support of Hospice Muskoka!

We are so grateful to the residents of The Manor at Gravenhurst for their generosity and community spirit!

Through their annual market, the talented sewing team sold handmade items and raised $879.10 in support of Hospice Muskoka. Every stitch, every sale, and every dollar helps ensure compassionate care and support for individuals and families in our community.

Thank you for turning creativity into kindness. Your support truly makes a difference.

As part of our 'science experiments' we took on the task of making a Baked Alaska....why does the ice cream not melt when we bake it in the oven?
I could give you the answer, but maybe that is homework for tonight! :)
We had all good intentions of posting pictures of this beautiful demonstration, however, by the time I got the camera most of the cake was missing! I think there was a small piece left and a little meringue hiding the leftovers! Obviously our "science experiment" turned into a very tasty afternoon treat. 😋

In the midst of a horrible winter blizzard, friends and family joined us regardless to celebrate our Family Holiday Dinner party. Outside you could not see across the street with blowing squalls and frigid temperatures, however, inside the warmth and joy shone through pushing the thoughts of the nasty weather away and enjoying each other's company and an amazing meal shared together.
Thank you to our incredible Food & Beverage department....you outdid yourselves.
What a party! 🤩

A big thank you to Mitch Beube and his saxophone. It wasn't just a sound; it was a physical presence that wound its way through the crowd, pulling every stray thought into the golden bell of the horn. We weren't just listening; we were being enchanted.

Every trill, every blue note, and every syncopated breath felt as though it were being written into our own histories. By the end of his performance, the music hadn't just passed through us; it had moved in, finding a permanent home in the spaces between our heartbeats.

Some old photos brought back to life! Did you know the Manor was built in 1931? It was originally a hotel called The Martin Manor! In 1974 it was converted to a retirement residence!
