Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy is identifying and releasing tight areas of the muscles and surrounding fascia, known as trigger points. The practitioner will apply gentle and sustained pressure on trigger points to restore muscle and joint mobility. Other forms of this therapy include stretching, massage and dry needling. This therapy is often used to treat pain and restricted movement in the muscles caused by trigger points.

Goodluck to all our post-secondary students on this upcoming exam season!

We recognize how hard you all work and how stressful times like these can be, so here are some tips to reducing stress! 💡

1. Reach out to family/friends/faculty that could help 👨‍👩‍👧

2. Take frequent breaks while studying by going for a short walk or getting up to stretch 🚶‍♀️☀️

3. Study in groups/with friends! 👩‍💻🧑‍💻

4. Try to reserve at least 30 minutes a day, dedicated to exercise 🏃‍♂️

5. Prioritize self-care: get enough sleep, eat full healthy meals, step away from screen time once in a while 🧖‍♀️
