Lisa Parise BScN, MScN, NP-PHC, CCNC(C)
Lisa graduated from St Lawrence College in Cornwall, ON in the RN diploma program in 1999. She began a chapter in the ICU at St. Joesph’s Hospital. In 2012, Lisa needed a change. She had a great passion for teaching. She taught at Laurentian University (LU) in the BScN program for 2 years while pursuing her other passion of being a medical trainer for the Sudbury Nickel Barons Junior A hockey team. If that was not enough, she decided to return to school part-time and obtain her BScN degree. In January 2015 she left LU and went to teach at Cambrian College in their BScN program. In 2017, Lisa wanted to advance her career. She left teaching, the ICU, and hockey behind to start her new adventure as a nurse practitioner. While going to school she also worked in the ER at HSN during Covid 19. In 2020, Lisa graduated from LU with a MScN and a postgraduate diploma in Primary Care-Nurse Practitioner. Since graduating as an NP, Lisa has worked multiple contracts at two local NPLCs, NELHIN in Palliative Care and Wahnapitae First Nation. Now she is ready for the next step in her career, opening her very own private medical centre where she can help those who do not have primary healthcare providers due to the shortage in Sudbury and surrounding areas.
