Good afternoon everyone,
As some of you may have heard, RMTs in Ontario have been given updated orders from the government allowing us to gradually return to practice, on an essential-care basis. This is an exciting first step for our profession! 🙂
This gradual restart of services requires that many safety protocols are put in place to protect both patient and therapist (including pre-screening of clients, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), increased sanitary measures and signage, etc). Over the coming days, I will be meeting with fellow Massage Therapists in our office to determine best practices moving forward, and to implement a seamless transition into this new model of care.
Please note: In order to receive Massage Therapy care during this phase of reopening, you will need to meet a number of criteria, and for this reason, I will be contacting patients on a case-by-case basis in the coming days.
Our college has recommended we limit the number of in-person visits for the safety of healthcare providers and their patients. I am available to provide virtual home care advice for those of you who may not fit into the “essential care” category. My top priority will be scheduling patients who have essential care needs, particularly those of you who have had appointments cancelled in the last 2 months.
Our online booking software will be suspended for the month of June, in order to accommodate those with the greatest need. If you are in need of urgent/essential care, or if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me at ali.mckee.rmt@gmail.com.
Please be patient as we navigate through these changes. I remain hopeful that as our Province continues to reopen, that we may begin to resume care for each and every one of you.
Stay well, everyone! 💕
