This sacred time of balance, gratitude and preparation for winter reflects our connection to Mother Earth’s cycles. 🌕 Waabaagaa Giizis
Changing Leaves Moon | September 2025

Dancing my style as a Jingle Dress Dancer is a form of self care and love. I feel connected to Shkagamik-Kwe, my spirit, the drum and all of the other dancers when I dance. This style of dance is done in a very respectful and caring manner. We dance lightly on the ground as a form of respect and connection to our first Mother: Mother Earth. The Jingle Dress Dance is sacred. It is known to heal the mind, body and spirit. I feel united and empowered to see and hear all my fellow beautiful Jingle Dress Dancers out there! – Melodie Thomas, Jingle Dress Dancer
