Last week, Finlandia Village took place in the Delirium Awareness Day Flag campaign! To support Delirium Awareness, we focused on education for our staff, residents, and families. We displayed informational posters throughout the Village highlighting the signs and symptoms of delirium, we provided education sessions on Delirium and we shared this information in both our resident and quality newsletters to ensure broad awareness and engagement.

Thanksgiving is a time to pause and reflect on all that we’re grateful for — and at Finlandia Village, that list is long.
We’re thankful for our residents who inspire us daily, for our families who stand beside us with love, for our staff whose dedication makes every day brighter, and for our supporters who remind us how powerful community can be.

We were honoured to welcome Deputy Minister Peter Kaftarian to Finlandia Village on September 25th.

Joining him were members of the MLTC Inspection Branch team Brad Robinson, Director; Alain Plante, Senior Manager for North and Toronto Districts; and Stephanie Doni, District Manager for North District. Also pictured are Dr. Presenza, David Munch, CEO, Nancy Pellerin, Director of Care and resident Linda Hallworth.

We are grateful for their visit, the thoughtful conversations, and their commitment to supporting seniors and long-term care across Ontario.

What a perfect day for the 8th Annual Sling Choker SISU Family Walk!

A huge thank you to Lasalle Secondary School, the Greater Sudbury Police Service, and all our special guests who joined us to walk, share encouragement, and support our students in their efforts to raise awareness and funds for the Sharing is Caring campaign.

Together, we’re making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors at Finlandia Village, while promoting the importance of active living and community care.

Kiitos to everyone who showed up, donated, or cheered us on — your generosity and spirit truly made our day!

Join us in supporting Finlandia Village through the SISU Walk Silent Online Auction!

Every year Sling-Choker SISU Family Walk Fundraiser, celebrates strength, resilience, and community spirit. This year marks the 8th year of partnership between Finlandia Village and LaSalle Secondary School for the SISU Family. Together we are raising funds for Phase VII - the construction of a new 32- long term beds at Finlandia Village.

All proceeds from the Silent Online Auction will go toward building 32 long-term care beds at Finlandia Village.
