Crazy how Nike took a monumental accomplishment for those running the Boston Marathon and tried to diminish what it can take to finish a race 🏃🏻‍♀️

Whether it’s a PR, your first run, or walking around the block to start moving your body more… it shouldn’t matter HOW, you do it, but that you ARE DOING IT…. Right Nike?! Just do it? Apparently not… you have to do it THEIR WAY.

If I would’ve listened to the people doing less than me, I sure as heck wouldn’t have done a quarter of the things I’ve accomplished in the last 10 years!

So you do WHATEVER IT TAKES to cross whatever finish line you have in your eyesight ✨ No one who matters will be criticizing… they’ll be cheering you on!!

A true multi-tasker and driven founder, Brie runs the marketing agency Briesy Dynamic right here in Sudbury! You may also recognize her as a content creator known as Sugar Free Brie!

Born and raised in the North, Brie works full-time supporting Northern Ontario brands - helping businesses grow, connect, and thrive! She also uses her platform and skills to volunteer with local organizations and charities, expanding their reach and impact.

For Brie, beauty isn’t about perfection; it’s about authenticity. She believes that doing things scared and showing up fully is what creates real confidence.

Outside of business, she’s an avid Peloton enthusiast, lover of golf, devoted Zia, travel partner to her hubby, and dog mom to her corgi, Penny.

Family doesn’t have to look one way… it doesn’t have to follow tradition.

For me, family is something you build intentionally. It’s creating a life full of connection, love, and meaning.

Family means having people around you who genuinely want the best for you — and you for them.

It’s unconditional love and understanding. Showing up in both big moments and quiet ones.

It’s doing the little things that make your people feel seen, heard, and appreciated.

It’s honesty, care, thoughtfulness…. it’s balance, commitment, and being there without being asked.

Family is reciprocal respect.
It’s selflessness.
It’s knowing that no matter what life throws your way, your people are there at the end of it.

It’s being able to text, call, send funny memes, or sit in complete silence — and still feel completely connected.

It’s having hard conversations without fear of losing each other.
Celebrating wins without comparison.
Showing up in both the good and the hard, without wavering.

It’s my friends’ kids calling me Zia Brie and Auntie Z, loving me like family long before they’ll ever understand that we aren’t “actually” related.

Family isn’t defined by DNA. It’s defined by presence, consistency, and love.

I never thought I’d see the day where people ask me for running advice… but what a feeling! I’m up to 4 races and here’s some of my best pieces of advice:

🏃‍♀️ Balance matters.
My training always includes a mix of:
• Cardio (obviously 😅)
• Strength training to stay injury-resistant
• Stretching + mobility so my body actually cooperates and stays limber

🥗 Proper nutrition is KEY.
Fuel your body. Stay hydrated. Replenish your electrolytes.
You can’t out-train poor nutrition — especially when you’re logging miles.

🧠 Recovery is non-negotiable.
Foam rolling, rest days, and treatment with an RMT made all the difference. You don’t get stronger by ONLY grinding — you get stronger by knowing your body better.

🚶‍♀️ And if you need to walk… WALK.
No shame. No guilt. No comparisons. My goal every single race? Finish.

🩹 Stay protected. Use the right gear for YOUR body.
You know your girl swears by Body Glide 😂
Chafing will humble you real quick — plan ahead.

When people ask, “What was your time?”
My answer will forever be: the time of my life! I’m not the fastest, but I’m sure going to make the most of my experience ✨
