Good day to Zagimē Anishinabēk. This post provides an official update regarding the Zagimē Anishinabēk election held on September 6, 2025.

Chief and Council recognize and respect the concerns expressed recently, and we would like to confirm that Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) has recognized the results of our election under the First Nations Elections Act (FNEA).

We would like to include a direct quote from Rob Harvey, Regional Director General for ISC.
"I wish to confirm that the ISC Minister has no authority to receive, investigate, or determine issues regarding the First Nation's election process under FNEA or its custom election code."

Chief and Council acknowledge your concerns, and we welcome respectful engagement. Please feel free to call, message, or email leadership to directly address your concerns. We are excited to serve you as we move forward together.

Sept. 10th, 2025

A huge donation of tomatoes and watermelon was delivered from Hoka Harvest. Any members wanting some can pick up at Public Works Depart. today or tomorrow while supplies last. There will be deliveries done for Little Bone and Minoahchak and to resident Elders who do not have access to transportation.
