Today is “World Pharmacy Technician Day”!

Pharmacy Technicians (RPhT) are registered professionals with the Ontario College of Pharmacists. At Boggio Family of Pharmacies our RPhTs play an increasingly important role in maintaining a safe and efficient dispensing process while freeing up pharmacists to continue to take on more clinical roles. Our RPhTs are involved with educating patients on medical device use, administering immunizations and checking prescriptions and blister packages for technical correctness. It’s very likely they have been directly involved in your care on any given day!

Thank you to all of our pharmacy technicians that work hard everyday to keep our patients healthy and independent! If you see these team members please be certain to thank them for taking care of your medications the next time you’re in the pharmacy!

We’d like to welcome Simpson’s Pharmasave in Virgil and Simpson’s Apothecary in Niagara-on-the-Lake to our growing pharmacy family!

Much like Boggio Family of Pharmacies, Simpson’s Pharmacy has been a healthcare hub in the small communities of Virgil and NOTL since 1977. Community support and personable care have always been top priority for the Simpson family over the years. We look forward to nurturing this legacy as we partner with Sean Simpson to better support the health and wellness of the residents of Virgil and NOTL.

As we navigate this next wave of covid infections we ask for your patience and understanding with our staff members.
You will notice longer than usual wait times and reduced service levels to what you have become accustomed. We expect to be significantly short staffed through this wave as our staff members isolate and follow appropriate covid protocols to prevent transmission of covid among our staff and to our customers. We ask that you please plan ahead for prescription renewals and over the counter purchases to ensure that we have the time to prepare the medications you need when you need them.
As a reminder it is equally important that all customers follow these covid protocols as well to prevent transmitting covid to our staff and other customers. DO NOT enter the store if you have cold or flu like symptoms or if you have tested positive within the last 5 days.
Please remember we offer free delivery services and curbside pickup if needed (please call your local store directly to arrange).
