🌟 Exciting News from Critical Trauma Therapy: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skills Group! 🌟
We're pleased to share that we're now accepting referrals for our upcoming Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skills Group at our new Grimsby location! Clients can also self-refer!
This 12-week structured program provides practical tools to navigate emotional challenges and improve daily functioning through evidence-based, trauma-informed therapeutic intervention.
Perfect for adults who:
• Experience intense or rapidly shifting emotions
• Struggle with self-harm behaviors or suicidal ideation
• Face interpersonal conflict or communication challenges
• Deal with chronic stress or emotional dysregulation
• Are motivated to actively participate and apply DBT skills
Four Core Skill Areas:
🧘 Mindfulness - Stay present and observe without judgment
💪 Distress Tolerance - Crisis survival strategies for overwhelming situations
❤️ Emotion Regulation - Identify emotions, reduce vulnerability, increase resilience
🤝 Interpersonal Effectiveness - Build assertiveness, set boundaries, improve relationships
Program Details:
• In-person at CTT's new Grimsby location (166 Main St West)
• 12 weeks, 90-minute sessions
• Cost: $320.00 (12 sessions)
• Led by Christina Joy, MSW, RSW with 5+ years experience
• Includes check-ins, structured teaching, hands-on practice & homework
• Designed to complement (not replace) individual therapy

Funding Submissions to Auto-insurers (OCF-18) is available. We direct bill EHB!

About Christina J, MSW, RSW: Christina brings over 5 years of community experience supporting individuals facing homelessness, intimate partner violence, and emotional dysregulation. A 2024 University of Toronto MSW graduate, she's certified in Psious/Amelia Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy and specializes in CBT, ACT, and mindfulness approaches. Christina is passionate about helping clients adapt to life changes through an empathetic, non-judgmental, client-centered approach.
