Hey friends, I have a few spots open for two classes I am teaching every Monday for the next 10 weeks. The first class is Nervous System Reset. It is 10 weeks of building a much stronger relationship with your nervous system based in the latest neuro-science research. A must attend for people with a persistent dis-regulation nervous system.

The other class, which goes nicely with Nervous System Reset is Somatic Movement. Learn to move from the inside out using breath, mindfulness and pendiculation (contract, release, relax)
These classes will be held at West Lincoln Community Centre in Smithville.
Reach out to me direct for more info, or sign up on line or in people at West Lincoln community centre

How to build your own boundaries aren't as obvious as a fence or a "do not enter "sign. They are much more subtle. Even though personal boundaries can be challenging to navigate, setting and communicating them is essential for our health, well-being and potentially our safety.

The number of times people have misused the word “boundaries” in an attempt to control someone else’s behavior... 😖 So here’s a refresher: I can set a boundary that dictates how I’ll respond to someone’s behavior, but I can’t set a boundary dictating someone else’s.
〰️
I can request that my friends not call me when they’ve been drinking. And my boundary would be that I don’t continue the conversation when they do. But a boundary wouldn’t be telling someone they can or can’t drink.
〰️
Boundaries define how we will protect ourselves in response to others... they aren’t about controlling other people. So often, people misuse the word “boundaries” in an attempt to dictate how other people are “allowed” to behave... but that isn’t setting a boundary, because boundaries don’t interfere with someone else’s agency — they’re about asserting your own.
〰️
Knowing the difference is crucial for respecting others and asserting ourselves more effectively. 💡
〰️
Remember: Boundaries are an “if you, then I.” Requests are a “would you, so I.” Boundary: If you drink, then I will not continue the conversation. Request: Would you not call me when drinking, so I’m not triggered?

Wearing masks in public will be with us for a while longer. Change your relationship with a mask by intentionally taking long slow inhalations in through the nose and long slow exhalations out through the nose. Check out .snowdon
