Look at your daily habits and ask yourself if they are causing you to evolve or revolve. π
Are you moving forward or in circles?
If youβre familiar with habit training, you know that the human brain is wired to respond to cues.
Cues trigger behaviors.
π¦Theyβre the starting point for building (or breaking) habits.
π£ Developing awareness around your thoughts, feelings, and actions is the first step.
When you notice the impulses tied to your habits, it becomes easier to pause, reflect, and choose differently instead of running on autopilot. βοΈβπ₯
Ask yourself:
π€ Where are you when your habitual behavior happens?
π€ What time of day is it?
π€ How are you feeling in that moment?
π€ Who are you with?
π€ Does it follow another routine or emotion?
Most habits meet an emotional, social, or physical need. But if your habits only offer temporary relief, or create long-term problems, itβs time to replace them with new, supportive ones.
When you understand your triggers and the reward youβre seeking, it becomes easier to align your actions with your long-term goals.
Example:
If you notice that when you feel lonely or tired (cue), you reach for unhealthy comfort food (action) to soothe yourself (reward), you can rewire that loop.
Try swapping emotional eating for a self-care routine, something that nurtures you without sabotaging your health. Over time, the new habit will feel more rewarding, and the old one will lose its pull.
It wonβt happen overnight, so be patient with yourself. Expect slip-ups and view them not as failures, but as feedback...lessons that help you grow stronger.
