YOU GUYS!! wow! I spent this last weekend in school and I learnt the most fascinating thing! Did you know 30-100% of woman who have gone through pregnancy suffer from diastasis recti which often goes untreated! This is when the abs separate and if left untreated can remain that way leading to a pooch that just won’t go away, lower back pain, bowel disfunction and a weak core. Even after successful fat loss the underlying structural issue remains which makes the abdomen appear less defined, it hinders the weight loss because fat loss targets the fat and not the underlying muscle separation! This is where I come in! Myself and many others in my profession have been trained on how to check for this condition! And if positive for diastasis recti we can move forward with the steps on how to correct it within and outside of the treatment room.
