About the instructor: I have been riding and involved with horses for the past 17 years. I have completed the English Rider Levels through Equine Canada and I am currently working on obtaining my Equine Science Certificate through the University of Guelph. I have taken riding lessons and clinics from the age of 9 and continue to do so, you can never stop learning. I mainly ride dressage and trails, but I also enjoy jumping and liberty work, and would love to learn how to rope! I started counselling riding camps at Lakewood Equestrian Centre in my teenage years, then graduated to instructing them and that is when I fell in love with teaching! For me, the horse and their well-being and health come before anything else. I am certified through Equi-Health Canada and Equi-First Aid USA to teach the following courses: Equine Health & Emergency First Aid Course, Advanced Equine First Aid, First Aid Fundamentals, Horse First Aid For Kids, Safety First - The Barn & Beyond and Disaster Planning & Emergency Preparedness. I host courses locally throughout the Peace Country, but I also travel to teach courses. If you are interested in hosting a course at your facility or farm, please contact me!
