Hand Print Kids

Hand Print Kids Hand Print Kids is private occupational therapy for school-aged kids in Guelph, Ontario. I have worked as an occupational therapist since 1995.

I have twenty years of experience working with kids within homes, schools, children’s treatment centres, and private clinic settings. I offer virtual occupational therapy to school-aged kids across Ontario, Canada. I offer in-person occupational therapy for kids in the South End of Guelph. I love being a paediatric occupational therapist. I use my keen observation skills to analyze, break down barriers and find ways for kids to print, cursive write, type, and use Read Write Google. I graduated from McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario) with a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 1995, and with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology in 1990. I am registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). Being creative, I enjoy customizing individual therapy sessions to best fit the strengths and needs of each child. I am very curious and like to “connect the dots” through on-going learning. For me, “a day without learning would be like a day without sunshine”. I am an avid reader and often have many professional and personal books “on the go”.

Hand Print Kids has helped launch a NEW toy lending library in partnership with the Loft Children’s Library at the Salvation Army Church located at 1320 Gordon Street in Guelph. The Loft Children’s Toy Lending Library offers free toy lending for kids. Play and learning are a child's main occupations. I have analyzed all toys based on potential therapeutic benefits.

The Loft Library hopes to collaborate with therapists in Guelph to help support families who need toys to promote their child’s development (i.e., literacy, gross motor, fine motor skills, handwriting, visual motor skills, visual perception, math, problem solving, and attention). If you are a therapist and want to learn more about this new library or collaborate with toy analysis, feel free to contact me.

Hours are currently Thursdays (1-4pm) and Sundays (9:30-11:00am). For more information, please contact the Salvation Army Church (519-836-9360 or office@guelphsa.ca).

Hand Print Kids helps kids develop handwriting skills. As a CBS Survivor SUPERFAN who loves to learn through movement and fun challenges, I incorporate direct instruction, playful activities and games to practice to help kids learn to write. I offer in-person occupational therapy for school-aged kids in the South End of Guelph. If you are interested in learning more about OT services at Hand Print Kids, please feel free to contact me (carol@handprintkids.com).
