Applications are now open for The Howard and Joan Robinson Staff Education Fund!

Established thanks to the generous support of the Robinson Family, this fund helps staff pursue clinical education and professional development opportunities that strengthen skills and improve patient care.

🏥Staff can apply for a grant to assist in paying for clinical education

📚Recipients can receive up to $1,000 per year towards tuition

We are excited to celebrate this year’s recipient of the Dr. Jagjit S. Gadhoke Award, Mia Sellars 🎉

Created in honour of Dr. Jay Jagjit Singh Gadhoke, this award is presented annually to a St. Joe’s volunteer who demonstrates a strong commitment to continuing their education while making meaningful contributions through volunteer service.

Mia is a fourth‑year undergraduate student in the Neuroscience program at the University of Guelph and began volunteering with us in August 2024 in the ABI Program. In that time, she has already contributed more than 50 hours of dedicated service.

As shared by her supervisor, Vanessa Wood, “Mia's ongoing support for the ABI program, her rapport building with ABI participants, and the energy she continuously brings to her volunteer work has been refreshing, and we are grateful to have her as part of our team.”
