Amy Boyd Therapy

Amy Boyd Therapy Hi! I'm a Registered Psychotherapist in Guelph, Ontario.

In our sessions I will create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where we can explore together the reasons that bring you to therapy. I want you to feel safe and comfortable in our sessions. I will help you learn new tools to build your resilience, address the difficult things, and support you as you grow. In my private practice I aim to empower clients to confront persistent problems in their lives and encourage lasting change. My approach is grounded in self-compassion and empathetic listening. I am inspired by my clients' resilience and I would be honoured to be a part of your journey.

ADHD Comorbidities
As many as 80% of adults with ADHD have at least one coexisting psychiatric disorder. Because of this, ADHD is often missed or is mistaken for other diagnoses.

Questions to ask your healthcare provider:
What is the current wait time?
Do they provide long term follow-up care?
Is a full screening for other potential medical disorders part of the assessment process?
Are there additional costs associated with the ADHD assessment?
As a psychotherapist, I am not licensed to provide a diagnosis but I often support clients in finding someone who can.
