November may be coming to a close but Fall Prevention is always important. Here are some tips on how to stay safe and prevent falls with Parkinson’s Disease:
🔸 Plan ahead. When in busy areas, plan your route in short sections so there is time to take breaks.
🔸 Take it slow. Take your time. When turning, make bigger turns rather than quick, small pivots.
🔸 Be energy aware. Sleep and mental health struggles can affect energy levels and confidence. Take time to relax when needed.
🔸 Use supports. Sit down when doing tasks, use mobility aids or have a caregiver assist.

Can you believe it? This is is less than a week worth of collection for Adopt A Senior - Guelph! The generosity of this community fills our hearts.

Just a reminder that our Guelph office is a drop off location for anyone who signed up for Adopt A Senior - Guelph or would like to donate some extra much needed items.

While we have been able to match all of our 2025 seniors with amazing donors, some of our seniors still have additional needs that we are hoping to assist with this holiday season.

The following items are being asked for by our seniors:

-Shampoo
-Conditioner
-Body Wash
-Deodorant
-Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
-Depends
-Toilet Paper
-Kleenex

We also have various low income seniors that could certainly benefit from the following:

-Winter Hats
-Winter Gloves
-Winter Scarf or Neck Tubes
-Grippy Socks
-Grocery Gift Cards (Food Basics, Walmart & Shoppers Drug Mart)

Adopt a Senior is also in need of the following Gift Wrapping items:

-Wrapping Paper
-Tape

Items can be dropped off to our Gift Drop off Locations before Saturday November 29th:
