VeedhaYoga offers group and private instructional practice in Hatha, Vinyasa, restorative and Yin style yoga in a tranquil home based studio or in the comfort of your home. A unique yoga training experience dedicated to building a strong body and peaceful mind while unleashing the passion and strength from within you! unbind yourself, declutter your mind, and shed what you no long want! Vinyasa yoga symbolizes a flowing, dynamic form of yoga, where postures are linked together using breath. Hatha yoga is a path toward creating balance through poses or asanas. In our physical bodies we develop a balance of strength and flexibility. Restorative yoga involves the use of props (sometimes lots of props) to allow the body to feel totally supported, to allow the body to relax and release; long holds of these gentle postures, postures often selected to address specific challenges; and deep mental and visceral relaxation. Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses or asanas that are held for longer periods of time—five minutes or longer per pose is typical. The poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility while improving the flow of "qi" or energy in the body.

What a great day with my love at picking out our Christmas tree, enjoying incredible pizza from their outdoor wood oven with hot apple cider and whiskey to keep us warm. Lucky the rain stopped and the rainbow came out as soon as we got there.
What a great day …so grateful ❤️
Let the season begin ❤️

We are at that point in time where it is the calm before the storm.... the moment before the insanity of the holidays ....the moment before we hurry hurry hurry to the new year..... only to then waaaaiiiiit, until spring arrives and we do it all again.

However, before the we rush to the next thing, can we allow ourselves to pause and take a breath..... just take a hot second to not do anything except enjoy a still moment and feel enough.

The grace of being still is so hard for many of us, me included. I/We/us/society feels so validated in the busy and productive. It seems like doing something holds more honour than doing nothing.

It sucks doesn't it?

Why do we have to DO MORE to BE MORE?

I feel that so deeply, and something that I actually struggle with, and I'm not just saying that.

This is where this practice honours your worth, and doesnt expect you to do more or be more. Just show up and be you in that moment.

You are enough in your body, in the stillness, in the mind, in this. moment!

If you are in need to feel enough, find your way to the mat ... I am here with you and together we are enough.

Why Restorative Yoga Heals More Than Muscles

Did you know Yin Restorative yoga doesn’t just stretch your body — it resets your nervous system?

Let me explain first what this style of yoga is first...
Yin Yoga is a slow paced meditative style class where you are guided through a series of longer held stretches (about 1-3 min to hold), with options and supports like blocks and bolsters. This approach with your body

Here’s how it works:
🌙 Long-held stretches for ligament, fascia, muscle and joint relief and to improve function
🌙 Gentle breath work signals safety to your body, and brings system into rest & digest
🌙 Deep rest improves digestion, sleep, and mood & calms stress hormones

In a world that tells us to do more, yin restorative yoga reminds us we are enough.

'Ouchie 😳...that stings' is honestly what I hear a lot when we are in this class doing the work.

After we laugh in our mutual discomfort, I remind them that a little bit of work goes a long way with therapy balls.

But its true, you only need a few minutes with a therapy ball and it can unlock more mobility than hours of stretching. 🌀

Why? Because fascia — your body’s connective tissue — needs gentle, targeted pressure to release.

In The Mobility Project class on thursdays, we’ll use therapy balls to:

✨ Release stubborn muscle knots

✨ Improve joint range of motion

✨ Reduce pain and tension in hips, shoulders, and back

Deepening Connection & Listening to Your Body’s Signals

Your body whispers before it shouts.
Are you paying attention?

Tension, headaches, anxiety, shallow breathing, sleeplessness, restlessness, chronic overthinking, chronic pain — these aren’t random symptoms.
They’re your body’s way of saying, “Something needs to shift.”

Somatic Energy Work teaches you how to listen to those signals and meet them with compassion.

When we respond to the whispers, we don’t have to wait for the screams.

Book your October session and start listening to what your body’s been trying to tell you.

Why Mobility Declines with Cold Weather

Ever notice your body feels stiffer in the fall and winter?

Here’s why:
❄️ Cooler temps = reduced blood flow to muscles
❄️ Less outdoor movement = more time sitting
❄️ Cold weather makes connective tissue less elastic

The fix?
Stay consistent with movement that warms and mobilizes the body.

This week’s classes are designed to:
🔥 Improve joint range of motion
🔥 Keep muscles supple
🔥 Boost circulation and warmth from within

📅 Join us this week dive into hip stability & strength. Activate the muscles to increase heat & build strength
