Transforming healthcare through giving. At Guelph General Hospital, every piece of equipment used in the direct care of patients comes from a community donor.

Not all essential costs are covered by government funding. Local community support is essential to the ongoing work of a hospital. Right now, you can join our record-setting $34 Million campaign which will address urgent needs. As National Volunteer Week kicks off, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible people who give their time, energy and heart to support Guelph General Hospital and The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital. 💜

Every day, more than 250 volunteers strengthen the care experience at GGH through the Volunteer Association, Pet Therapy Program, Spiritual Care, the Patient & Family Advisory Council and more. Their compassion and commitment help define the sense of community that makes GGH a special place.

We’re especially grateful to the volunteers who contribute behind the scenes with the Foundation: connecting with the donor community, serving on our Board of Directors, supporting fundraising efforts and showing up again and again at events like Black Tie Bingo.✨

On March 28, Black Tie Bingo celebrated its milestone 30th anniversary presented by Co-operators and Meridian and what a night it was. Together, guests fully funded the first orthopedic fracture exam room at Guelph General Hospital's new Speedvale Campus, bringing exceptional care closer to home.

On March 28, nearly 600 guests, volunteers and staff gathered for the 30th annual Black Tie Bingo fundraising gala to launch fundraising for Phase Two of the Speedvale Campus. It was an evening full of support, generosity and community.

In this video, Mark Walton, President and CEO of Guelph General Hospital, talks about what the Speedvale expansion will mean for patients, families and care teams, and how it will help GGH meet growing needs of the Guelph-Wellington community.
