Many of us believe in the principle that the energies, thoughts and deeds we send out or towards others, come back unto us. We watch what we say and make sure we practice kindness and charity everyday.

However, have you thought of how you speak to yourself? The derogatory words you say to yourself in the privacy of your head, what you say to the mirror as you stare at your reflection, perhaps something you have entered in a journal, or maybe in jesting to a friend or family member.

Regardless of how you do it, this is energy you are sending out into the Universe. Just because it is directed at yourself, it doesn't take away the power of the words or the energy that you used to direct it.

The energy you put out, regardless of the direction of that energy, will come back to you.
