One of my favourite stretches is the figure 4 stretch! It stretches the piriformis muscle, a muscle underneath your glutes that is very commonly tight. Often this muscle can get sore after snow shovelling too!
Starting seated, cross one ankle over the other knee or leg, sit up tall with a flat back, push the knee down and lean forward. Hold the stretch for 30 seconds, and even better use this after a walk or after exercising when your muscles are already warm! Another progression can be doing this stretch while lying down on your back.
