Concussions can be complex, and present differently for everyone. Massage therapy can greatly improve concussion symptoms and recovery time, and relieve the increased tension in the neck. For my concussion clients I am can modify my treatment environment, including adjusting the lighting and music to assist with light and sound sensitivity too.

The Levator Scapulae muscle in your neck is very commonly tight, and when clients tell me their neck/shoulder hurts from computer work and stress often it's this muscle!

To stretch, imagine you have a shirt with a pocket on it, and try to put your ear down towards that pocket. If you need a deeper stretch, take the same arm that your head is tilting towards and gently pull your head into a further stretch. You should feel a pull into the top of your shoulder blade in your upper back. (Right ear to right chest, use right arm to pull neck feeling a stretch on your left) Hold for 30 seconds and repeat on both sides.
