🎨🌿 Our residents have taken the lead with their very own Nature Art Club! Together, they’ve been drawing and painting the beauty around us from birds and butterflies to flowers and artistic trees.

It’s more than just art - it’s about slowing down, noticing nature, and sharing creativity with friends. Each brushstroke and sketch is a reminder of the joy that comes from expressing ourselves.

Adventures don’t stop as we get older - and bucket lists are made to be checked off.

Suzanne from Riverside Glen took on the CN Tower Edge Walk , stepping out 116 stories high and smiling the whole way!

She wasn’t alone - Sanket, our Team Member Experience Coordinator, joined her, and together they proved the best time to chase your dreams is always today.

Calling all vendors! Reserve your spot for $20 a table at our Christmas Market on November 29th.

Vendor hours: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Shopping for residents & families: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Open to the public: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Come and enjoy sweet treats, handmade items, Christmas crafts, gifts, and stocking stuffers! Pay for a hot lunch meal while supporting Riverside Glen and helping make the season bright for our community.

The sun was shining on our community garden as residents gathered to harvest the last of the fall produce. From crisp veggies to colourful gourds, every basket was filled with the rewards of a season’s care and teamwork.
This year’s harvest was more than food corn husks are being transformed into fall displays and wreaths, while wildflowers and fresh produce are being shared throughout the Village. Creativity, sunshine, and community spirit made this harvest one to remember. 🥕🌻🍁

This past weekend the sweet smell of baking filled the halls as our Egerton Neighborhood Baking Club got together to make delicious banana chocolate bread!

Residents measured, mixed, stirred, and of course, shared stories while the bread baked to perfection. The best part? Enjoying warm slices together fresh from the oven. Nothing brings people closer than good company and homemade treats. 💛

Serenity in Motion

Our residents gathered at the outdoor gazebo overlooking the koi pond for a refreshing Tai Chi session through our PAL program. With fresh air, gentle movement, and deep breaths, it was the perfect way to connect mind, body, and spirit.

The beauty of the outdoors, the calming water, and the slow flow of Tai Chi brought peace and joy to everyone who participated.

Innovation in Action at Riverside Glen

We’re so proud of our Emma's team member who is part of the Schlegel Innovation Catalyst for 2025! This week, they brought their passion into our Emmas neighborhood by running a Cooking Club.

Residents and team members came together off the neighborhood to try a brand-new Indian recipe; stirring, tasting, laughing, and even breaking out into a little dancing along the way!

It was more than just cooking, it was about connection, creativity, and joy.

Trip of a Lifetime!

As part of our Green Bench 10th Anniversary, our very own resident Anneke Haan had the incredible opportunity to travel with her daughter to beautiful Newfoundland!

Anneke shared her unforgettable adventures with fellow residents at Riverside Glen from meeting friendly locals (including the Mayor of St. John’s!), celebrating Seniors Day in the park, going whale watching, climbing up the iconic Signal Hill, and even being officially “screeched in”.

It was a journey filled with laughter, culture, and memories that Anneke will treasure forever and how special that she could bring those stories back to inspire and delight her Riverside Glen family.

A day filled with beauty, nature, and new friends! Residents from Riverside Glen enjoyed a wonderful visit to Erin Hills Acres Lavender Farm, where the air was filled with the soothing scent of lavender.

Along with strolling through the fields, they had the chance to meet some amazing animals – from the gentle Scottish Highland cows, to playful goats, and even the magical Arctic reindeer.

The day was a perfect mix of fresh air, peaceful scenery, and heartwarming connections with both nature and one another. Thank you for a wonderful day in nature.

Our residents enjoyed a beautiful day at Rockwood Conservation Park with a picnic surrounded by nature! Laughter filled the air as we played giant dominoes, shared stories over hot chocolate, and soaked in the fresh air.

It was a perfect day of friendship, fun, and making new memories together.
