Trick or treating at the Village of Riverside Glen was a spooktacular success!

Families and friends joined us in both Long Term Care and Retirement for an afternoon filled with laughter, candy, and creativity. Residents dressed up in fun costumes and loved seeing all kids in costumes making their way through the Village.

Residents at the Village of Riverside Glen proved once again that age has no limits!

To celebrate a very special 95th birthday, the group hit the Go-Kart track for an afternoon of laughter, friendly competition, and high-speed fun. From the thrill of the race to the cheers from the sidelines, everyone embraced the moment. Showing that joy, friendship, and adventure don’t slow down with age.

The Village was alive with celebration and cheer as residents enjoyed a special Oktoberfest Pub Night! From pretzels and festive brews to the lively tunes of the Transylvania Hofbrau Band, the evening was full of music, laughter, and good company.

The Village of Riverside Glen lit up with joy and colour as we celebrated Diwali - the Festival of Lights!

Residents, team members, and families came together to share in the traditions of this beautiful celebration. The day was filled with vibrant clothing, delicious traditional foods, music, laughter, and heartfelt connections.

It was a wonderful opportunity to learn, celebrate, and appreciate the meaning of light, love, and community.

Our resident-led art group at Riverside Glen continues to grow and inspire each week! This creative crew gathers to paint trees and scenes from local nature, learning new techniques and finding joy in artistic expression together.

This week’s class was extra special with an intergenerational twist - residents and younger artists painted side by side, sharing stories, laughter, and creativity. It’s amazing to see how art can bring generations together and spark new friendships.

🍎🧺 Last week our Long Term Care took a beautiful day trip to the St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market!

Residents from the Village of Riverside Glen enjoyed a morning filled with local charm - browsing fresh produce, handmade crafts, baked goods, and unique treasures from local vendors. The sights, smells, and friendly conversations made for the perfect outing! 🌻🥖

🎃👻 Get ready for some spooky fun at the Village of Riverside Glen!

Join us for Halloween Trick-or-Treating on Saturday, October 25th at 2 P.M open to family, friends, and little ghouls of all ages! Both our long-term care and retirement neighborhoods will be taking part in the festivities.

Bring your own treat bag and enjoy door-to-door trick-or-treating with our residents - costumes encouraged!

🐱☕Residents from Egerton and Emma’s Neighbourhoods enjoyed a purr-fect afternoon outing to the Kitty Café in Guelph!

They spent time meeting some wonderful cats, sharing a few treats, and soaking up all the cozy cat cuddles. 🐾💛 The outing was a hit with all our animal lovers — and best of all, proceeds from each visit go toward the care and adoption of the café’s furry residents.

Exciting news from Riverside Glen Retirement! Our duck eggs have hatched, and the cutest little runner ducks have joined our village family!

Residents have loved every moment - watching them hatch, taking their first swim, and learning all about these curious and speedy runner ducks. Their playful splashes and soft peeps have brought smiles, laughter, and wonderful memories of childhood days on the farm. 🦆💛

Come and visit our adorable ducklings before they head back to the farm - they’ve truly brought joy and life to our halls!
