After consultation with staff, and on recommendations of our professional associations — the Pedorthic Association of Canada and Orthotics Prosthetics Canada — we have decided to close our office until April 6, 2020 due to COVID-19. We will give updates as they become available.

03/21/2020

Dear clients, friends and medial professionals:

After a consultation with our staff, and on the recommendations of our professional associations — the Pedorthic Association of Canada and Orthotics Prosthetics Canada — we have decided to close our office for the next two weeks to help flatten the curve of COVID-19. We plan on reopening Monday April 6, 2020 if improved conditions allow us to.

During this time, we will not be taking appointments unless your needs are urgent.

We will be checking our voicemail regularly during this temporary closure and we will reach out to those of you with urgent needs as quickly as possible.

Our team at Applied Biomechanics hope that you and your loved ones stay healthy during these uncertain times. We will see you once the situation improves.

Sincerely,
Fred J. Rayner

is recognizing the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. We commend the for their efforts in “Empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”. Proud member of .

Since 1992, the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) has been annually observed on 3 December around the world. The theme for this year’s IDPD is “Empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”. This theme focuses on the empowering persons with disabilities for the inclusive, equitable and sustainable development envisaged in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The 2030 Agenda, pledging to “leave no one behind,” is an ambitious plan of action of the international community towards a peaceful and prosperous world, where dignity of an individual person and equality among all is applied as the fundamental principle, cutting across the three pillars of the work of the United Nations: Development, Human Rights and Peace and Security. It is critical to ensure, in this regard, the full and equal participation of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and create enabling environments by, for and with persons with disabilities.
