🌷 Spring is here — the perfect time to start dog training! 🌷

As the weather warms up, it’s a great opportunity to help your dog build skills, confidence, and good manners that make every season more enjoyable.

In the Guelph area, we’re fortunate to have many wonderful trainers offering classes for every stage:
• Puppy classes
• Grades 1, 2, and 3
• Adult dog classes for pets who haven’t had formal training

A question we hear often is: “I’ve had dogs before — why would I take classes?”
Training in a structured, distraction-filled environment helps your dog learn to listen and respond even when the world around them is exciting.

✨ Why training matters:
• Learn new ideas, methods, and skills
• Build reliable behaviours like loose leash walking and recall
• Teach polite manners for when guests come over
• Strengthen the bond between you and your four-legged friend

And for those who want to explore more, there are so many fun dog sports to try: rally, scenting, agility, flyball, pulling sports, herding — the list goes on. Many trainers also offer excellent online options.

If you’re not sure where to start, our staff is happy to recommend classes and trainers that fit your dog’s needs.
Enjoy the fun, connection, and confidence that comes with training — and enjoy this beautiful season with your pet. 🐾💚

We’re excited to share that we now carry MYOS, a muscle‑support supplement designed to help pets stay strong, mobile, and comfortable.
Mobility issues aren’t just about joints — muscle health plays a huge role. Pets recovering from injury or surgery, senior pets, sport and working dogs, and pets experiencing muscle loss can all benefit from extra support.
Why muscle matters:
• Muscles stabilize joints
• They absorb shock and reduce joint stress
• Strong muscles improve movement, endurance, and comfort
What MYOS does:
MYOS contains Fortetropin®, a natural ingredient shown to support lean muscle mass and help maintain strength during aging, recovery, or reduced activity.
If your pet is slowing down, struggling after surgery, or losing muscle, MYOS may be a great addition to their mobility plan. Ask us if it’s right for your pet — we’re here to help them stay active and feeling their best.

🎉 Congratulations to Lurch!

What an incredible achievement — taking First Place and earning Best of Breed at Crufts 2026 is no small feat. Lurch showed the world exactly what makes him extraordinary: poise, presence, and that unmistakable spark that sets a truly great dog apart.
A perfect dog doesn’t just win titles; he wins hearts. And Lurch has clearly done both.

Here’s to his well‑deserved victory and to many more moments worth celebrating.

This very sweet Nugget strutted into our emergency service like he’d just finished a five‑course meal… because apparently, he had. Nugget didn’t just taste a chicken skewer — he swallowed the entire thing without so much as a courtesy chew. Thankfully, with a little endoscopy magic, we fished out the world’s least‑chewed kebab. Nugget is now back home, acting completely unbothered, as if swallowing a whole skewer is just something he does on a casual night.

Good luck to Lurch and Barb. They are on their way to England for the Crufts dog show!! So excited to see how this beaut...
