Salt therapy is safe and typically does not have any side effects. Customers have described sensations of dry throat which can be easily treated with water following the session. Hydration post session is recommended and water is provided in the lobby.
Are children under the age of 18 welcome?
Children of all ages are welcome. We recommend adult supervision for individuals under 16 years of age.
Are drinks permitted in the cave?
We kindly ask customers to refrain from bringing any food or drinks in the cave.
Are appointments necessary for Salt Cave and Salt Cave treatments?
Appointments for Salt Cave and Salt Room treatments are not mandatory but certainly recommended, especially during peak hours when capacity can be reached. Sessions for the Salt Cave begin every hour on the hour. Give us a call at 519-767-0990 and we will reserve your seat.
Are appointments necessary for Massage & Reflexology?
Appointments for all Massages and Reflexology treatments (both in our massage studio as well as the salt room) are mandatory. Please give us a call for availability. We ask that you make an appointment at least the day before, but we will do our best to accommodate short notice requests. Sessions in the LARGE Salt Cave are possible but require at least 48 hour notice.
How does Salt Therapy work?
A Salt Therapy experience in our cave is very unique; the environment is saturated with a natural, low concentration aerosol of dry saline (salt). The temperature and humidity is controlled within the cave, allowing for natural formation of salt from the walls. This process is termed ‘convective diffusion’. This environment is allergen-free and hypo-bacterial. The inhaled salt travels throughout your sinuses and respiratory tract – cleansing, clearing mucus build up and killing bacteria. What are negative ions?
Negative ions are odorless, tasteless, and invisible molecules that we inhale in abundance in certain environments. Once they reach our bloodstream, negative ions are believed to produce biochemical reactions that increase levels of the mood chemical serotonin, helping to alleviate depression, relieve stress, and boost our daytime energy.
What benefit do Salt Lamps provide?
The environment that we live in today, has far more sources of positive ions than in the past, creating an electrical imbalance in the air. Salt Rock lamps are designed to neutralize the excessive electromagnetic radiation produced by the everyday technology we are exposed to. Our bodies require almost a 1:1 ratio of positive and negative ions to stay healthy.
What is the capacity of each room?
Each room has 10 comfortable reclining chairs. Sessions begin every hour, on the hour and last approximately 50 minutes. We do provide reading material but welcome customers to bring their own. Feel free to surf our complimentary WIFI while enjoying your salt therapy session. Your comfort and relaxation is our top priority.
What is your refund policy?
We offer refunds and exchanges for products within 10 days of original purchase. Used items are non-refundable. Refunded items are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
No refunds or exchanges on gift cards and gift certificates. The gift certificates are not transferable for other services.
What is your cancellation policy?
We reserve your specific treatment time just for you. In the event that you cannot make it to your appointment, please provide minimum 24 hours’ notice, or a $30.00 cancellation/missed appointment fee will be applied. This same policy also applies for customers that have pre-booked using gift certificates and miss the appointment. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Are sessions transferable between age groups (Children, Adult, Senior)? Ie) I purchased sessions for senior’s but would like to use them as an adult.
Unfortunately no, sessions purchased for one age group can not be redeemed by another age group. In specific cases we may make an exception, if receipt of purchase is provided, you may pay the difference from a discounted session to the applicable age group in order to redeem the session.
