No matter what the holiday season looks like for you, may there be small moments of peace, play and connection. Even if it's for a fleeting moment, may something deeper inside soften and rest.
Happy Holidays Wild Ones!

Quote by Katherine May in her book, Wintering.

I am looking forward to finding my new rhythm as we enter winter. More gentle strolls, cozy nights by the fire, reading and writing. I love cross country skiing, sitting at the window when the sun shines in and drinking hot cocoa.
What nourishing activities do you do over the winter?

As I sat and watched the sunset on the Eve of Solstice, I watched the world around me darken. And, as the world darkened, the sky glowed in beautiful pinks and purples.

This reminded of the importance of the interplay between darkness and light. And the Solstice wisdom that light comes from within the darkness. May we hold this hope as we traverse the barren void of winter.

Happy Solstice Wild Ones!

As the sun stands still, we move into the longest night of the year. A time to enter into the quiet of the darkness with the promise of light to come.

I have found marking the Solstice with ritual and reflection an important way to remind me of the importance of darkness in my own life. Because, even, the times where I feel lost in the pain of darkness, I can be reminded light does return.

Darkness is a catalyst for change and renewal. Sometimes, we intentionally chose new chapters in our lives that enter us into the darkness of the unknown. Sometimes, life throws us in when we least expect it and our whole lives can feel upside down.

May the wisdom of the Solstice guide your dark seasons and may you find a flicker of light as we traverse the unknown.

A Solstice blessing for you

I've been pretty quiet the last couple months. I took a step back from being online and spent some time off the island. It was nourishing to spend time with family and friends.

I was able to spend some time out west with my sister. The beauty of the sunshine coast never ceases to amaze me! Here's a little peak!

It feels like forever since I've been online on my insta!!
This past November, I left the island for 5 weeks to spend time with family and friends. It felt great to venture off the island, and, it also felt great to get back to the island.

I went into hibernation mode since coming back and took awhile to land again. But, now that the Solstice is upon us, I wanted to come back online and say hi and see how people are doing as we enter into the darkest nights?

Is the frenzy of the holiday season keeping you away from the whisper of Soltice's invitation to be still and rest?

It is so easy to blast through the Solstice admist the holiday frenzy.

And, I wonder what it would be like to take some moments to pause and reflect on the longest night of the year?

For those signed up for my newsletter, Letters from the Wild, you will be receiving a Recorded Solstice Meditation and Ritual to support you to tune into the wisdom on the darkness during this season.

Not on the list, sign up on the link in my profile and you can also receive the free guided Meditation.

Check out the reasons why I had to take therapy outside and created Wellness in the Woods!

I thought it was about time to share a little more about my vision for Wellness in the Woods.
I offer quite an array of online and in person programs that may even look unrelated. But, actually, they all have the intention to connect to a particular season's rhythms so you can start syncing your body to nature's rhythms and disconnect from the productivity-burnout cycle!!

Make sure you watch til the end -i accidently pushed down a tree as I was walking!

Interested in what i will be offering for the upcoming winter and spring seasons?? Be sure to follow along on insta or sign up to receive Letters from the Wild to be the first to hear new offerings!

I have answered the call of the wild.

Have you?

The fall season is moving by quickly. Now that most the leaves are gone, I'm reminiscing of the beauty of the fall colours and the harvest of apples and rosehips. I was so grateful to have visits from a mink and porcupine!

I'm also really grateful for the first official Women in the Woods group on the island! We joined in circle and explored how to balance giving and receiving so we dont burn out. The first few pics are the centre of the circle that held the space in the woods for us.
