Murray Fleming passed away peacefully at West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville, surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength and devotion. He was the beloved husband of Anna, with whom he shared 70 wonderful years of marriage. Born and raised in Jarvis, Murray lived all of his 89 years in the community he loved. He proudly owned and operated Fleming Motors, served as a dedicated member of the Jarvis Lions Club, the Walpole Antique Farm Machinery Association, was a volunteer firefighter at Station 3 Jarvis for 39 years, was an elder at Knox Presbyterian Church for many years and sat on the Haldimand Hydro Commission. His commitment to family, friends, and neighbours was at the heart of his long and meaningful life.
Murray will be deeply missed by his four sons—Gary (Marla), Wayne (Charlene), Bruce (Patti), and Gord (the late Carol)—and their families. He was a proud Papa to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. Gary and Marla’s family includes Taryn (Colin) and their son Alton, as well as Noah (Brandi) and their daughter Annie. Wayne is the father of Katie (Jacob) and Nicole (Kyle) with their baby Georgia. Through Wayne's partnership with Charlene, Murray’s life was further enriched by the presence of her daughters Tana (Miles) and their two children Cameron and Braeden, Baylee (Kieren) and their 4 children Paisley, Abram, Leighton and Spencer, all of whom he welcomed as part of his extended family. Bruce and Patti’s family includes daughters Jodi (Jon) with their children Nell and Perry, and Jill (Mike) with their children Kylie and Hayden. Gord was predeceased by his wife Carol, and Murray continued to hold close her daughter SarahJane and her son Mark (Kristi) and grandson Kaden. Predeceased by his siblings Alma Krauskopf, Earle and Harvey. His kindness, humour, and unwavering love for family will remain in their hearts forever.
