The Health Promotion Winter/Spring Schedule is now available, and registration is open for upcoming programs supporting mental wellness, resilience, and healthy coping strategies.

🎄 Celebrating the Season Together! 🎉
Last Friday, the Health Promotion teamed up with our amazing PSP staff for the BAdm ( Base Administration) Holiday Bowling Party at Bowlrama, Bayers Road!
The day was packed with laughter, friendly competition, and festive cheer—plus free pizza 🍕 and exciting prize draws that kept everyone smiling.
Thanks to all who joined and made this event unforgettable! 💙

Vendredi dernier, l’équipe de Promotion de la santĂ© s’est jointe Ă  notre formidable personnel PSP pour la fĂȘte de quilles des FĂȘtes de l’Administration de la base (BAdm) au Bowlrama, Bayers Road!
La journĂ©e Ă©tait remplie de rires, de compĂ©tition amicale et d’une ambiance festive — sans oublier la pizza gratuite 🍕 et les tirages de prix excitants qui ont fait sourire tout le monde.

Health is wealth! đŸ§ đŸ§˜â€â™€ïžđŸ‘ŸđŸŽđŸ«‚đŸ‹ïžâ€â™‚ïžđŸŒż This year’s Health Promotion Halifax - PSP Health Expo was a huge success, bringing together over 200 participants from across the Defence Team! Military and civilian vaccination clinics as well as expert-led sessions exploring ways to advance mental, emotional, social, spiritual, and physical health were some of the many highlights from the day-long event. Participants left empowered with new knowledge and resources to help them navigate their wellness journey and better their health.

November is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Everyone deserves to feel safe—in their homes, relationships, and communities.
Let’s raise awareness, support survivors, and work together to end the cycle of violence. Know the signs. Speak up. Offer support. Health Promotion Services offer the Family Violence Awareness program to all CAF, DND, and family members (over 18). This National Addictions Awareness Week, the Defence Team is raising awareness about substance use, gambling, gaming, and other health issues that impact overall well-being. Talk about it, talk about hope – it will improve readiness. There is so much that can be done, including building supportive environments and approaching those you care about when you are concerns.
