Job Title: Clinic Administrator
Location: Halifax, NS
Position Type: Part-time
Start Date: Ideally by the end of January 2026
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Clinic Administrator to join our community pharmacy team. The Clinic Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinic within our pharmacy, ensuring smooth workflow, and providing exceptional service to patients. This role requires excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Management:
- Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone with scheduling appointments, answering questions, and providing information about services.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including appointment schedules, medical history, and billing information.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with all healthcare regulations.
Clinic Operations:
- Coordinate daily operations of the clinic, including appointment scheduling, patient flow, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Manage clinic supplies and inventory, ensuring all necessary materials are available and in good condition.
- Handle billing, insurance claims, and payment processing for clinic services.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clinic area.
Administrative Support:
- Prepare and maintain reports, schedules, and other administrative documents as required.
- Address and resolve patient concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Certificate or degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinic or pharmacy environment is considered an asset.
- Experience with Kroll and MedAccess is an asset.
Skills:
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced clinic environment within a community pharmacy.
- May require weekend shifts depending on clinic hours.
